Stewart Town 'The Bounder' Pinot Noir Bannockburn 2014 Central Otago
Ripe, dark red berry fruits lead by plum and cherry then aromas of some newer oak emerge with layers of toasty wood and darker spices, some smoky elements, some dark rose and earthy qualities begin to emerge after a few minutes. On the palate - chewy, juicy, fruity and loaded with texture; abundant ripe tannins, medium+ acidity,plenty of playful youthful energy and enough tension and poise to consider this a serious wine; overall a lovely wine with a juicy core of fruit, raw silk tannins and lengthy finish.
