Reef Winery Reserve Syrah 2016 Hawkes Bay
Fabulous bouquet of ripe
red berry fruits with blueberry, raspberry and black cherry; a grind of fresh
pepper and deep floral undertones, inviting and quite complex. On the palate –
fruity, dry, almost full-bodied and quite flavourful with peppery black and
blueberry, plum and baked raspberry. Moderate tannins, medium+ acidity and
lengthy finish. A decent expression of Syrah with a fairly lengthy finish and
lasting impression. Best from 2018 through 2025.
