Bird Winery and Vineyards Cabernet Merlot 2014 Hawkes Bay
Ripe scents of blackberry and dark plum
engage the senses immediately then sweet toasty wood with spice and vanilla.
Almost full-bodied on the palate with a youthful and tense texture. Plenty of
tannins and acidity; flavours now include tobacco and hay, some roasted green
bell-pepper and dry stony soil. Medium complexity, youthful and still knitting together. Best from 2020 through 2028.
