Dark and broody red and black fruits
with plum and dark cherry, a whisper of bottle age showing with a heady lift.
Plenty of toasty oak and full-bodied richness. On the palate – firm, very dry,
still loaded with fruit and oak and tannins to match, medium+ acidity and
warming alcohol. Decant for service and serve alongside food (Wild Boar or rare
Eye fillet). Drink now and through 2026.

Produced and bottled by Batch Winery
Varietal, bold, forward and attention
seeking bouquet. Aromas include black currant, dark berries and pepper, aged
meat and toasty oak, boot polish, smoke, roasted field mushroom and dry earth.
On the palate – dry, dark berry fruits and black currant, big tannins and sweet
oak with clove and baking spice, pepper again. Plenty of youthful acidity
still, lengthy muscly finish. Drink now and through 2028.
