Hawkshead

Hawkshead 2010 Pinot Noir Bannockburn Central Otago 14%
Extremely bright ruby and purple appearance
N: Some classic Central Otago aromas of wild thyme and undergrowth laced with black cherry, a little chocolate and freeze-dried raspberry.

P: Dry with raspberry and cherry laced flavors; medium+ tannins - quite fine  and Medium + acidity - slightly tart (for me just a function of its youthfulness) a wine sure to integrate well over the next two years. Moderate to medium+ oak adds textured tannins more than oak flavor - currently. Overall a well made wine with a strong future.
4.5 Stars
