Craggy Range 'Aroha' Te Muna Pinot Noir 2012 Martinborough 13%
The volume of pinosity is turned up with this wine - a lot of generous and striking light red fruit aromas - dark strawberry, raspberry and plum with a layer of red cherry; a large helping of oak further defines the Craggy style (I like it). On the palate a dry wine with medium+ acidity, oak, fruit and complexity. The tannins are as soft as they are volumous with a fine texture reflecting both the oak and fruit origins. A lengthy finish with a light yet obvious dovetail of fruit.
