Empirical Chardonnay 2015 Hawkes Bay
Very inviting bouquet with a rich and nutty attack then roasted yellow stone fruits aromas, some new wood scents of vanilla and mild toasty oak. On the palate - full-bodied and dry with flavours of burnt butter, toasted cashew and stone fruit, some citrus flavours with grapefruit and a touch of lemon. Fine oak tannins and medium+ acidity. Balanced with good length and complexity. Drink now and through 2021.
