Murdoch James

Murdoch James Single Vineyard 'Blue Rock' Syrah 2012 14%
Meaty, savory, white smoke and a mix of berry fruit aromas alongside a mild pepper quality of Syrah. There's a hint of dried herbs and fresh oak as well which add a distinctiveness to the bouquet. On the palate - this is a dry wine with a distinctive savory and meaty flavor led profile; the fruit flavors include dried raspberry and cherry suggestions with a hint of jam; medium+ acidity and tannins with a mild peppery quality. Medium length and finish - this is a food wine only and requires something quite simple such as a semi-hard tasty cheese like aged Gouda. I would suggest also another 2 years in cellar.
