Domaine Thomson

Domain Thomson Explorer SV Pinot Noir Central Otago 2013
Distinctive bouquet of light red fruits laced with suggestions of mineral and undergrowth; light;y toasted oak and an overall harmonious beginning. On the palate - light weight, dry, fruity and fresh; medium+ acidity, firm yet fine tannins, medium expression of oak and youthful overall. A wine that is still finding its feet and coming together slowly - so keep it in the cellar through 2016 then take another look.

Domain Thomson Surveyor Thomson Pinot Noir Central Otago 2011
A bouquet that is showing both bottle development and integration at the right pace with aromas of aged rose petals, strawberry and cherry scents and oak integration that is well underway; a wine with complexity. On the palate - lots of textures from fine tannins, medium+ acidity and oak intervention; light red fruit flavors adding depth and mid palate weight; dry longish finish - well made and will continue to develop over the next 1-3 years.
