Lauregan Wines

Lauregan Wines SV Pinot Noir 2013 Hawke's Bay
Bold dark red berry fruit aromas, an equal intensity of oak then dark cherry and plum, some black currant moments and dark kitchen spice oak layers - particularly clove then toasty wood. On the palate - equally bold with darker red berry fruit flavours, toasty oak and even a pepper note, a touch of savoury complexity. A dry wine with medium/medium+ tannins and acidity, flavours reflect the bouquet with plenty of power and length and flavour. A bold New World style with warmer climate attributes; also a youthful wine that would benefit from decanting for service or cellared then enjoyed from early 2018 through 2022.
