Folding Hill

Folding Hill Pinot Noir 2013 Bendigo Central Otago
Fabulous bouquet of a young, tense and nervous Pinot Noir - aromas of crushed cherry and freeze-dried raspberry; wild herbs in the background and stony mineral messages; noticeable oak adds depth - all these components speak of a wine still in very early development stages. On the palate - dry, firm, youthful, loads of energy from the core of fruit with plenty of tannin adding chalky to fine to course textures, a back bone of acidity and a lengthy finish; lots of nervous tension and poise. As expected a wine in very early development and will benefit greatly from cellar time of 3-5 years and will continue to refine over the coming 10 years (or more).
95 Points
