Mt Difficulty

Mt Difficulty Pinot Noir 2014 Bannockburn Central Otago
Classic Mt Difficulty Pinot Noir bouquet with very vibrant quivering red fruit aromas laced with loads of soil messages suggesting clay, silt and minerals; a measure of new oak that highlights the youthful newness this wine shows as well as some older oak adding complexity and depth; overall -  very vibrant and expressive. On the palate - as the nose suggests - youthful energy and grip with plenty of acidity, tannin, oak and concentration; all the mineral elements there as well. Coming into balance over the next 12-18 months; lengthy expressive finish.

Mt Difficulty Pinot Noir 2009 Central Otago
A wine with a distinctively Otago bouquet of mineral, fresh red cherry and berry fruits, integrating oak, wild thyme and undergrowth moments and energy. On the palate - dry, focused and expressive with a lot of fine tannins and powerful back bone of acidity; fresh crushed cherry and red berry fruits, integrating oak and very lengthy finish. Great balance overall and a wine that will still be fantastic in 10 years from now.
