Church Road 'Grand Reserve' Syrah 2014, Hawkes Bay
Dense and rich bouquet packed with aromas and flavours of dark berries and smoky toasty oak; no mistaking the olive black cherry, clove, vanilla, a touch of boot polish and black velvet. Dry, firm textures with plenty of wood tannins and acidity to match. Youthful, vibrant, loads of texture and length. A lovely example. Drink from late 2018 through 2026.
