Archangel

Archangel ‘Halina’ Riesling 2014 Central Otago
Floral, fruity and distinctive bouquet showing off aromas of kaffir-lime and green apple then a little mandarin and rose. On the palate – off dry with some initial residual sweetness adding some silky texture; this gives way to contrasting and focused acidity then flavours of citrus and white peach. Balanced, youthful and fairly lengthy finish. Drink now and through 2024.

Archangel ‘Stefania Riesling 2015 Central Otago
Lush, floral and fruity bouquet with sweet rose, mandarin, Kaffir lime and both red and green apple aromas, quite pure and alluring overall. On the palate – tense, crisp, firm, youthful and dry. Flavours of apples and lemon zest, green mandarin and firm peach; plenty of acidity adds tension and texture. A lovely wine still in throws of development. Best from 2019 through 2026.
