Te Awa

Te Awa Single Estate Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 Gimblett Gravels, Hawkes Bay
Ripe, bold, oaky, black fruits of sweet Doris plum and blackberry; toasted brown spices, some meaty fleshy dark berry aromas, concentrated and complex as well as youthful. On the palate – dry, youthful, fruity, firm textures and lengthy on the finish. Flavours of dark berries and dark plums, firm tannins and fresh acidity. A great example of Hawkes Bay red wine; needs cellar time for sure. Best from 2020 through 2035.

94 Points
