Mills Reef Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2017 Hawkes Bay
Vibrant, measure yet quite intense bouquet with aromas of sweet herb, ripe cape gooseberry, baked lemon, some tropical fruits led by pineapple, some spice and lees action. Dry on the palate with medium+ acidity, quite lush in texture with some tension from the acidity accentuated from the lees and spice layers. Lengthy finish and a decent drink on its own or with food. Best from early 2018 through 2022.

Mills Reef Winery Reserve Chardonnay 2016
Bold, rich scents of ripe fruit and oak. Baked peaches, apricots, apples with a grapefruit and sweet white flower scent. Dry, loaded with textures of silk and cream and flavours of dairy, ripe yellow stone fruits and apple. Vanilla and other baking spices show off the new oak. Moderate tannins and plenty of acidity, lovely lengthy finish. Still youthful. Best from 2019 through 2029.
