Craggy Range

Craggy Range SV Syrah 2014 Hawkes Bay
Opaque appearance, broody – dark and stormy – aromas of baked raspberry, dark plum and blueberry. Additional aromas include sweet meat and spices, baked mushroom then plenty of new toasty wood smells with cloves and vanilla. On the palate – Dry, fruity, spicy, war, Flavours of dark berries and spiced meats, plenty of oak, but not too much. Moderate tannins with a fine youthful texture, medium+ acidity, great balance and length, bold and masculine. Drink now and through 2024.

Craggy Range ‘Te Kahu’ SV Merlot/CS/Malbec/CF 2014 Gimblett Gravels Vineyard, Hawkes Bay
Very expressive bouquet of dark red berry fruits laced with sweet toasty oak; plums, black and blue fruits, some violets notes and gentle dried herbs. On the palate – dry, very fruity with dark berries and sweet black cherry, fine tannin structure and balanced acidity, dark spices of oak and toasty wood moments.
