Mangaorapa Estate

Mangaorapa Estate Pinot Noir 2014 Southern Hawkes Bay
A charming yet specific bouquet of Pinot with aromas of cherry and red berries with a crunchy red fruits and mild savoury complexity combination; minerality is obvious with a crumbly dry clay/sand suggestion then moderate oak layer with brown spices. On the palate – a dry wine with cranberry and red cherry flavours laced with soft brown spices. Fine to moderate tannins and plenty of acidity; medium weight and fine overall. Best from now and through 2026.

Mangaorapa Estate Pinot Noir 2015 Southern Hawkes Bay
Youthful, vibrant and fruity with plenty of varietal pinosity showing fresh red cherry and raspberry highlights, a sandy/clay-like mineral layer, toasty oak with soft brown spice accents. On the palate – dry with loads of texture, shape and form – youthful tannins with a coarse texture and acidity to match then flavours of red fleshed fruits and some red apple. Overall a wine showing great promise and length. Best from 2019 through 2029.
