Ata Rangi

Ata Rangi Sauvignon Blanc 2014 Martinborough
Poised, fresh, lush and generous bouquet of ripe orchard fruits, fresh citrus and an underlying leesy complexity; the tropical fruit message is there as well as a background aroma; some light herb moments. On the palate - dry, crisp, fresh and packed with texture and fruit - white peach, yellow kiwi, lemon and apple; fairly lengthy finish with moderate complexity.

Ata Rangi 'Petrie' Chardonnay 2014 Martinborough
Really wonderful fragrances of white fleshed orchard fruits intertwined with new oak aromas, a light toasty note and synergy of youthfulness with promise and poise. On the palate - quite texture driven with plenty of energy from the acidity and bite of oak then flavors of fruit from fuzzy peach and sweet grapefruit; though young with noticeable oak and its vanillin, spice entourage - this will settle and integrate over the coming 12-18 months. A long life ahead for a well crafted wine with lots of complexity and length.
