TWR Te Whare Ra

TWR Te Whare Ra Riesling 'M' 2015 Marlborough (SV5182)
Vibrant, alluring fragrances of mandarin and lime flower, sweet peach and apple; a wild flowers and wild honey layer show off the advantages of a natural ferment. On the palate - off-dry with some honey-suckle laced white fleshed fruit, Mayer lemon and a touch of lees and spice. Fresh vibrant acidity leading to a long finish with the final flavor of lime leaf.

TWR Te Whare Ra Pinot Gris 2014 Marlborough (SV5182)
Distinctive and expressive bouquet of crisp red apple flesh and pear - both fresh and baked; a light lees and manuka honey layer, quite floral; with a citrus peel moment completes the bouquet. On the palate - dry, a distinctive texture (from phenolics and acidity) pushing the citrus and crisp apple flavor messages, fairly long finish.
A wine most suited to aperitif consumption or vibrant light and fresh starters.

TWR Te Whare Ra Chardonnay 2014 Marlborough (SV5182)
Bold and distinctive aromas of fresh California peach, baked stone fruits, raw brown sugar, vanilla, toast and new oak; hints of butterscotch, lees and cheese - a tense and full bouquet overall. On the palate - dry, rich on flavor and character, packed with all the flavor distinctiveness mentioned above; youthful too with lots of poise and energy in the acidity and oak flavors; a long meandering finish. A wine for the cellar (3-5+ years please) or be smart and enjoy soon with crayfish bisque - Provenรงal style.

TWR Te Whare Ra Pinot Noir 2013 Marlborough (SV5182)
Gentle, floral, ripe and pure with aromas of light red fruits - a medley lead by red cherry then a little red apple skin; red rose perfume moments and soft fresh layers of oak. On the palate - pure with a seamless journey between fruit, oak spices and flavors with fine yet abundant tannins. The long finish only enhances these attributes. This is a wine for Pinot Noir purists who appreciate subtlety and charm.
