Nautilus

Nautilus Pinot Noir 2010 Marlborough
Bouquet of a wine in development with bright and fresh light red fruit aromas and just a moment of dried leaves, dried rose and baking spice. There's plenty of oak aromas with some vanilla and toast, a touch of cinnamon and clove. On the palate - dry, fruity and supple texture from silky tannins, medium+ (ish) acidity and a mix of fresh and lightly dried red fruits; red apple skin and dry stone mineral. Fairly lengthy finish - balanced and well made. Drinking well now and through 2017.

Nautilus Pinot Noir 2013 Marlborough
Vibrant, plush and generous bouquet of fresh red fruits - crisp red and black cherry, crushed red apple skin then red rose, quite fragrant overall. On the palate - dry, fresh, fruity and all pinosity with velvet tannins, ripe red fruit flavors and plenty of acidity, I like the obvious pure fruit and concentration as well as freshness and length. Well made and will both cellar well through 2020 and drink well today with carefully selected menu items.
