Coal Pitt 'Tiwha' Pinot Noir 2014 Central Otago
Earthy mineral lead bouquet with dried rock suggestions, red and black cherry fruit aromas laced with brown baking spices and vanilla wood tones, some dried herb moments. On the palate - dry with firm chalky tannins, brown spice vanilla oak flavours then red stone fruits of cherry and plum, firm(ish) medium+ acidity, moderate complexity - balanced and well made. A wine worth cellaring then drinking from late 2016.
