Clearview Estate Winery

Clearview Estate Winery 'Te Awanga' Sauvignon Blanc 2015 Hawke's Bay
Distinctive and forward bouquet with aromas of ripe grape fruit and other citrus with suggestions of tangerine and wild peach; hay and other herbaceous moments and a distinctive saltiness - which I really like. On the palate - dry with some very ripe peach and citrus flavours, a touch tropical fruit flavour and lots of acidity; generous, that salt-lick returns; flavourful and very easy to drink; well made and drinkable now and through 2017.

Clearview Estate Winery 'Endeavour' Chardonnay 2013 Hawke's Bay
Significant bouquet - bold and complex with aromas of brioche, baked stone fruits, raw brown sugar, toasty barrel spices and a stone clay mineral undercurrent. On the palate - complex, rich, spicy, bold, immensely flavourful and packed with texture - a key feature. Flavours reflect what the nose suggests; plenty of acidity and bite of oak; long creamy finish with a saltiness and almost cheesy leesy feel - fantastic! Decant for service please - totally drinkable now, but will also cellar and reward for best drinking from 2017 - 2025
