Mudbrick Vineyard Reserve Chardonnay 2014 Waiheke Island
Classic, distinctive, familiar, oaky, toasty, fruity, inviting; aromas of baked stone-fruits laced with creme brulee and butter; vanilla and baking spices. On the palate - full bodied, dry, rich in flavour lead by fruit and oak then spices and buttery flavours and rich creamy textures - plenty to enjoy. All this flavour and texture stands on a foundation of well chosen oak and ripe fruit with some tannins taking a role as well; balanced and well made - easily drunk now or cellared for 3-5 years.
