Complex bouquet of Cabernet then Merlot aromas with bracken laced blackberry and tobacco leaf, baked bell-pepper then fresh and baked Doris plums; plenty of toasty oak and rocky earthy moments round out the bouquet. On the palate - full-bodied, rich in texture and flavours with blackberry and plum fruit flavours, dry, medium+ acidity, high (ish) tannins from the fruit and oak, hay, bell-pepper and tobacco moments. Lengthy finish, well made and destined for the dining table - decanted or cellared for a further 2-5 years.
