Palliser Estate Chardonnay 2014 Martinborough
Lots of familiar aromas with toasty roasted stone fruits bathing in vanilla, butter and wood; peaches and apples, a touch of apricot; moderate wood spices with a sweet vanillin edge and burnt butter moment. On the palate - dry, creamy, fruity and generous with flavours of stone fruits and wood, mild wood lead spices and medium+ acidity; great balance and length, immediately approachable, but will also cellar well for 3 - 5 years or more easily.
