Bald Hills

Bald Hills Riesling 2015 Bannockburn, Central Otago
Rich and perfumed bouquet with yellow flowers and yellow fruits, a stony dry stone mineral layer is definitive adding complexity. On the palate - an off-dry style with some sweetness, plenty of counterbalance from the acidity, a lush and richly flavoured wine oozing flavour and texture. Fruits reflect the nose with sweet lemon and peach; the residual sweetness swings back in again towards the finish. A lovey tasting wine set to pair well with food or simply on its own.

Bald Hills 'Last Light' Riesling 2010 Bannockburn, Central Otago
Soft yet distinctive bouquet with honeysuckle, light citrus and peach aromas, a developing toasty quality; overall fruity and light. On the palate - dry, fruity, salivating acidity and crisp with flavours of lemon and peach, apple, green apple skin and honeysuckle; a lengthy and balanced finish; overall an intriging example still developing and ageing slowly.

Bald Hills SV Pinot Noir 2014 Bannockburn, Central Otago
Vibrant and youthful bouquet with punchy red fruits of raspberry, cherry, red plum, bing cherry and red apple skin - these all carry a velevt-like texture on the nose; moderate+ oak tones and complexity. On the palate - juicy, fruity, crisp and dry; plenty of velvet textured tannins, medium+ acididty and flavours of re berry fruits, vanilla and clove scented oak and a long finish. A wine for the cellar, but also offering early drinking if decanted.
