Sacred Hill

Sacred Hill 'Wine Thief' Chardonnay 2015 Hawke's Bay
Rich and engaging bouquet packed with aromas of baked stone fruits, toasty new oak scents, vanilla and butterscotch, an well-whipped cream scent adds depth to an already enriched nose. On the palate - firm, youthful, oaky then fruity - a wine with plenty to offer now and in the future if cellared; quite a creamy texture contrasted by medium+ acidity and newer oak textures, baked stone fruit flavours return with a grapefruit layer; full-bodied, engaging and tasty with a lengthy finish.

Sacred Hill 'Riflemans' Chardonnay 2015 Hawke's Bay
Fragrant and familiar aromas of ripe orchard fruits led by peach and apple with layers of cream, butter and nutty oak not far behind, quite complex and spicy and true to its history of style. On the palate - youthful, firm and fruity with textures from the oak, tannins, acidity and crafted creamy layers; flavours of orchard fruits with peach and grapefruit return, a nutty oak and burnt butter layer add complexity and length. A great drinking wine.
