Elephant Hill Reserve Syrah 2014 Hawke's Bay
Bold, rich and enticing bouquet with spices, oak and fruit. Toasty vanilla, clove, violets and freshly ground pepper corns; dark berry fruits of black currant and dark plum suggestions, complex and engaging aromas. On the palate - plenty of fruit, alcohol and oak, a dry wine with plenty of body and flavour; loaded with spices of pepper and clove, a violet plum layer. Medium + tannins and acidity add plenty of texture and length. A lovely wine, very tense, very young, will age well. Drink from 2018 through 2025.
