Misha's Vineyard

Misha's Vineyard 'The Starlet' Sauvignon Blanc 2014 Central Otago
Fragrant, ripe and distinctive with aromas of Meyer lemon, apple and pear then a lighter layer of fresh herb and tropical fruit, a gentle lees and stony mineral combination add depth and complexity. On the palate - crisp, fresh and dry; flavours reflect the nose with citrus and ripe peach combinations, some tropical moments, loads of texture and refreshing acidity; lengthy balanced finish. Drinking superbly now and through 2019.

Misha's Vineyard 'Limelight' Riesling 2014 Central Otago
Delightful floral and fruity bouquet with suggestions of mandarin and limeflower then crisp red and green apple then apricot stone. On the palate - an immediate burst of sweetness which is almost immediately contrasted with a crisp bite of acidity leading the palate into a drier finish; flavours of ripe mandarin and white tree fruits, lovely silky smooth texture and long finish. Delicious example. Drink now and through 2025.

Misha's Vineyard 'Dress Circle' Pinot Gris 2015 Central Otago
Class, distinctive and very expressive bouquet of Gris with aromas of spiced pear and apple, a floral layer and even a hint of ginger spice and cider; quite complex and intriguing. On the palate - vibrant, flavourful and packed with texture; the phenolic textures throughout the palate play an important role adding contrast to the ripe fruit flavours leading to a longer finish. Drinking well now and through 2018.

Misha's Vineyard 'The Gallery' Gewurztraminer 2014 Central Otago
Varietal, floral, very fragrant and familiar with aromas of white fruits, some tropical layers and all important spice. The bouquet also has shape and form adding an intriguing layer of complexity. On the palate - crisp, fresh, dry and quite fruity; layers of spice and warmth from the alcohol add the right measure texture and contrast to the fruit intensity. Medium acidity with a sharp focus, contrasting fruit and spice layers leading to a lengthy finish. The best example I have encountered from this producer. Drink now and through 2020.
