Hartford Family Winery

Hartford Court 2009 Maclean's Dance, Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (Bio-dynamically farmed vineyard)
(Tasted at the Taj Hotel - Wine Maker's Dinner June 19th 2012)
Nose: A family of light red fruits - with their darker versions showing - dark cherry, plum and a touch of black fruit. Of the four wines in this tasting this example showed the most complexity, mystery and charm.

Palate: Dry, firm and showing the complexity suggested on the nose with added richness and great potential. The acid especially has a sparkle and brightness. Texture means a lot in a fine Pinot Noir and this wine does not disappoint - somewhat of an iron fist in a velvet glove - meaning - invest in this wine if you can and be rest assured it will cellar and reward for several years to come.
