Julicher

Julicher Chardonnay 2009 Martinborough
(Barrel Fermented 20% New Oak)
Nose: A bouquet of just ripe stone fruits then ripe citrus are wrapped up quite tight in a layer of oak with a butterscotch edge, a toasty savory complexity follows.

Palate: Dry and very flavorful with citrus and texture revealed first, medium+ acid with a firm hand highlights some of the oak signature. I like the layers this wine presents and the combination of flavor and texture with acid and oak. Well made and still developing.
