Greystone

Greystone Sea Star Riesling 2016 Waipara Valley
Fragrant and floral with a soft white spice; suggestions of mandarin, rose, red apple and lemon; a natural ferment energy. On the palate – crisp. dry, plenty of texture and flavours reflective of the nose with lemon and apple, white spice and floral moments; a mineral layer of chalk/limestone adds depth and complexity. Long finish – a lovely example. Drink now and through 2026.

Greystone Sauvignon Blanc Barrel Fermented 2016 Waipara Valley
Fruity attack with a soft and light smoky layer from the barrel then aromas of Sauvignon with peach, gooseberry, a touch of grapefruit and white spice; clear level of complexity. On the palate – dry, crisp, fruity and layered with spice and barrel tones, a wild ferment honeysuckle and floral layer adds depth and complex textures; a wine also showing a mineral chalk/stone layer. A lovely example with a varietal signature and lengthy finish.
