Rimu Grove Pinot Noir 2010 Nelson
A bouquet
showing a wine in a developing stage with a mix of red berry fruit in both a
fresh and drying state; brown spices of cinnamon mixed with the effects of
oxidation; there is complexity here as well with an earthy layer of clay and
vanilla love spices of oak. On the palate – dry, savoury and with a more
obvious oak effect; the fruit still shows though more drying than fresh and the
brown spices from the oak are enhanced by the level of bottle development;
moderate tannins and retains some acidity. Drink now and through 2020.
