Two Paddocks ‘The Last Chance’ Pinot Noir 2015
Central Otago
Proprietor’s Reserve Earnscleugh Vineyard
Ripe,
varietal, engaging use of oak, complex and intriguing; aromas of red and dark
cherry, earthy mineral rocky soil tones, vanilla and soft clove brown spices,
complex. On the palate – firm, youthful, tense and fresh; flavours reflect the
nose with ripe red berry fruits mixed with oak and oak spices, plenty of
acidity adding tension and poise. The fruits also show a tart side adding more
poise and freshness – this will ease over time (if you can wait), fine tannins,
balanced use of oak, lovely textures overall and lengthy finish. Drink from
2018 through 2030.
